First Story: Star Talent Palmer Available for Important London Derby with Arsenal

The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is set to return for the squad's vital Premier League match against London opponents Arsenal.

The young English international was unavailable due to a fractured toe sustained after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca declared. “Everyone is happy.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has been limited to four outings across all competitions, scoring twice.

After joining from City in the previous year, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 matches for Chelsea.

“He is our best player, we are pleased he is back, we need to provide him with time to be fully fit,” Maresca added. “He has been brilliant historically and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

Second Story: Everton Receive No Reason for Rejected Gueye Dismissal Appeal

The Merseyside club have failed in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a fight with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's single-goal triumph at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegalese midfielder was sent off only 13 minutes into the match after slapping Keane amid a dispute over a poor pass.

The player immediately apologized, and the teammates were seen making up afterwards in a light-hearted social media post.

However, the challenge against the dismissal was turned down, and Gueye must serve a three-match suspension, leaving Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager David Moyes revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about additional consequences from the event, Moyes added: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Third Story: Yoane Wissa Trains with The Magpies for Initial Session since Injury

Newcastle United's new acquisition Yoane Wissa has practiced with his squad for the first time since sustaining a knee injury shortly after his arrival from his former club in September.

Manager Eddie Howe announced the development on the end of the week but kept private a possible return date for the player.

Newcastle signed the forward for a significant fee to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool for a British record sum.

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on international service before he could make his debut for his new club.

“His recovery is going smoothly, he trained with us for the first time on Wednesday, so I was very happy with how he looked,” Howe stated. “This marked his debut in a competitive setting with the squad. Let’s see how he reacts today.”

The manager added: “There is a planned comeback timeline, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We aim to avoid letting people down. Of course, we want to utilize him as promptly.”

Additionally, Kieran Trippier will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring injury.

The Hammers manager Nuno Espírito Santo has stated that the reigning champions' current slump “should not be a focus” as his side gets ready to face the struggling top-flight champions.

The Hammers will have available Lucas Paquetá after his ban, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their return from fitness issues.

5. Gibbs-White Could Feature for Nottingham Forest against Brighton

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the side's home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on the weekend.

The England international missed the midweek European match against the Swedish side due to a back issue.

“Fortunately, it seems to be calming down,” Dyche commented as he got ready to face the Brighton manager's team, who have taken seven points from their past three outings.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s easing already. So we’re confident that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League win, but Dyche said the player “should be fine”.

However, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and the defender (hip) are expected to miss out.

6. Glasner: Conference League Defeat Will Not Set Back Palace

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of Thursday's Conference League loss to Strasbourg is a sign of how much progress the team has come in competing on multiple fronts.

The FA Cup winners went ahead at the away ground through Tyrick Mitchell's first-half goal but were pegged back by the opposition manager's team, who moved up to second in the group standings.

The Eagles now switch focus to Premier League competition with a home match against the Red Devils, and Glasner is confident his side can maintain their push for a Champions League spot.

“Maybe like the late defeat at Everton, it just feels that it was entirely needless and it is our fault,” Glasner said. “On the other side, we have to take it on the chin. The effort was there but it is a game we shouldn’t definitely lose.”

Glasner stated that Borna Sosa would miss out for the weekend's match after he stayed behind to France, but Will Hughes, who was substituted during the first half against Strasbourg, should be in the team selection.
